🏆 Gold Command Center – User Manual
Version: Master Edition v22 Platform: Web / Google Sites Embed
The Gold Command Center is a professional single-page application designed for gold traders, refineries, and mining operations. It calculates precise margins, build offers, and visualizes the gold value chain from mine to market.
Key Capabilities:
Live Pricing: Fetches real-time XAU/USD spot prices.
Deal Desk: Advanced calculator for buying (Scrap/Doré) and selling (Bullion/Export).
Value Chain: Visual breakdown of costs across the industry.
Operations Config: Customizable baseline costs (Logistics, Refining, Mining AISC).
This application is designed to run as a standalone widget within a Google Site or any web page.
Open Google Sites and enter "Edit" mode.
Click Insert on the right-hand menu.
Select Embed (< >).
Choose the Embed Code tab.
Paste the full v22 HTML/Script code into the box.
Click Next, then Insert.
Crucial Step: Resize the widget box to be Full Width and drag the bottom handle down until the scrollbar disappears (approx height: 800px-1000px).
The sidebar is your control center. Settings changed here affect the entire application immediately.
Ops Configuration (Top Button): Opens the administrative settings to define your company's fixed costs.
Spot Price (Live/Manual):
Click "LIVE": Connects to the public gold API to fetch the current market price.
Slider: Manually adjust the price to simulate "What If" scenarios (e.g., "What happens if Gold hits $5,000?").
Display Units:
OZ: Troy Ounces (default).
G: Grams.
KG: Kilograms.
Note: When you switch units, the app automatically converts all your input numbers (Weight, Costs) to the new unit.
Located at the top of the Sidebar.
Before trading, the Operations Manager should configure the baseline costs. These costs are used to calculate Net Profit.
Mining Cost (AISC): The industry average cost to pull gold from the ground.
Standard Freight: Your cost for armored transport/insurance per Ounce.
Refining Fee: Your cost to process gold per Ounce.
Minting/Retail: Premiums for manufacturing and jewelry.
Save Configuration: Clicking "Save" stores these numbers in your browser. You do not need to re-enter them every time you refresh the page.
Navigate via the "Trader's Deal Desk" tab in the sidebar.
This is the primary tool for calculating profit margins on specific deals.
Mode 1: Build Offer (Forward Pricing)
Use this when you have a seller and need to determine what price to pay and what price to sell at.
Inputs:
Weight: Enter the total shipment weight.
Purity: Enter assay result (e.g., 92.5%). Quick buttons available for 24K, 22K, 18K, 14K.
Payable: The percentage of gold content you are paying for (e.g., 98%).
Buying Strategy:

Selling Strategy (Target Profit):
Select % Markup to aim for a margin (e.g., 5%).
Select $ Fixed to aim for a specific cash profit (e.g., $1,000 total).

Click the "Analyze Price" tab at the top of the calculator.
Enter the Seller's Ask Price (per unit).
Click the gold ANALYZE DISCOUNT button.
Results:
The app calculates the Implied Discount.
Example: If the discount shows negative, you are paying above spot (Premium). If positive, that is your margin.
Navigate via the "Value Chain Map" tab in the sidebar.
This tool is for market research and visualizing where money goes in the industry.
Stages: Click on the icons (Mining, Recycling, Trading, etc.) to see the cost structure for that specific sector.
The Donut Chart: Shows the split between Base Cost (Red) and Margin (Green).
Mini-Calculator (Right Panel):
This is a quick "Napkin Math" tool.
Enter a Batch Qty (e.g., 100 oz).
Enter the specific cost variable for that stage (e.g., AISC for miners).
Click CALCULATE to see the estimated Gross Profit for that batch.
Q: I switched from OZ to KG and my numbers look weird. A: The system automatically converts the numbers. If you typed "1" for 1 oz, switching to KG will convert it to "0.031 kg". This is mathematically correct.
Q: The results aren't updating when I type. A: This is intentional (v17+). You must click the gold CALCULATE button to update the results. This prevents the numbers from jumping around while you are typing large values.
Q: The layout looks squashed on my phone. A: The Gold Command Center is a "Dashboard" class application designed for Desktop, Laptop, or Tablet (Landscape) screens. If using a phone, rotate it sideways.
Q: Where is the "Copy Quote" feature? A: In the Deal Desk, after calculating, click the gray "COPY QUOTE" button at the bottom of the input panel. It copies a formatted text string to your clipboard, ready to paste into WhatsApp or Email.
